Position Overview
You love to tell stories and understand the impact of the spoken and written word. Ideally, you have multiple years of experience working in film or TV, plus experience developing/producing video content, but at the very least, you have a passion for the world of video production and are well-versed in the content creation landscape. You bring a creative approach to acquiring, developing, and writing content and mine new areas for fresh, commercial, and undeniable stories. You naturally connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. You have a strong intuition, and the ability to connect the dots. You are action-oriented, entrepreneurial and adaptable, with innovative approaches. Most of all you are hungry to learn, grow, and operate within a team, taking on new responsibilities every day, and striving to push creative boundaries.
You have substantial experience in both development and production in film, TV, and/or video production, and the ability to identify strong material and talent and give creative guidance and feedback to stakeholders and producers on outlines, scripts, and concepts. You are self-motivated, passionate and able to work well in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and project management skills are a must.
What You'll Be Working On
Duties include but not limited to:
-Assist the Senior Manager and Producers in developing, producing, and overseeing all scripted and unscripted content across all departments and stakeholders.
-Proactively develop concepts and write stories/scripts for video productions within a variety of styles and genres to meet stakeholders needs.
-Embed with “on-the-ground” clinical teams for the purpose of bringing their stories into visual presentations.
-Give creative guidance and feedback to producers, and stakeholders on outlines, scripts, edits, and all other incoming material, including but not limited to outline, scripts, video production strategies and video edits.
-Receive and organize all incoming material, logging submissions and samples from stakeholders and making creative assessments on material.
-Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support story-telling strategy and to make sure the needs on content are being met.
-Contribute original, innovative ideas and have the skillset to see them through from ideation to development to production and post production.
-Spearhead all audio/video content concepts, stories, and scripts for cross-functional teams.
-Work with producers in making sure that all audio/video content is aligned with the intended strategies.
-Review final edits to make sure they’re aligned with the intended stories and outcome
-Other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
-BA degree from an accredited college or university. MFA preferred.
-Ten or more years of experience in writing for TV/Video.
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once.
-Previous experience working in a large organization with many teams that require extensive communication across divisions/departments.
Physical and Travel Requirements
-This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.
-Operates no tools, machinery, or equipment. No significant lifting.
