About Delphia

Delphia is building a new kind of asset management business that re-thinks the value data and how it can be used to gain an edge in the market. We believe that managing peoples' data, alongside their money, can unlock new forms of wealth creation in peoples' lives.

To accomplish this, Delphia allows anyone to improve its investment strategies by connecting the apps on their phone to their investment account, which in turn, unlocks access to trends in the data and proprietary investment strategies, including the Delphia 500 which aims to beat the popular S&P 500 index.

Delphia is growing! Our multi-disciplinary team is 90 people strong and located around the world with offices in New York, Toronto and London, England. The company was founded in 2018 and is a graduate of Y Combinator and the Creative Destruction Lab. We’ve raised three rounds of funding and approximately $77 million to date.

About the Role:

We are looking for an iOS developer to join our team and help build out our consumer mobile application. We are building dynamic interfaces and handling complex design problems. You'll work with the other iOS developers, back-end developers, and members of the UX team to build the most delicious, engaging investment app on the market.

There's a lot of challenges working at a small, fast-growing startup, like Delphia. We learn a lot about our users and iterate fast to build better. Our teams adjust to new information and we operate with transparency and empowerment -- you'll be expected to set your own objectives and be clear about what you need in order to achieve them.

Our processes are optimized for fully remote work. While we do have an office in downtown Toronto, we have team members across multiple countries and continents. We do a lot to stay connected, and to keep everyone clear on what needs to be done and why it's important. We value kindness and make decisions based on evidence. As a team we are fun, thoughtful, and occasionally hilarious.

In your first 30 Days, you will:

    • Coordinate with your team to deliver features in Swift on our iOS app
    • Participate in all team ceremonies and conversations
    • Offer input on design discussions

In your first 90 Days, you will:

    • Accelerate our migration to SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency
    • Participate in your team's quarterly planning
    • Lead design and delivery of features on our iOS app

In your first Year, you will:

    • Build some really cool stuff on iOS
    • Establish yourself as a trusted expert on our app and its behaviour
    • Help grow the team by interviewing candidates and onboarding new hires
